Tuesday
In todays lesson we had our production meeting which we discussed about the planning for the website. First of all we given questions to write down for our production plan:

Production Plan
*How are you going to create your content?
*What recources will you need to create your idea?
*What production processes are you going to use?
*How will you approach Health&Saftey issues?
*What do you attend to do and when?
*Create a time-line.

We also discussed about what roles we were going to take on for the task.

I think the Production meeting went really well and everybody contributed to the discussion.

Wednesday
In todays lesson we had a production meeting which we discussed about how we had to be in at 9.00,tomorrow and make sure we have:

5 Digital Cameras
Manual Cameras must have film/Batteries
Video Camera
Microphone, The boom
and that Jade is doing the interview which terry wrote out.

We also were told that we need to start commenting on eachothers blogs and write 2 good comments and 1 comment which they can improve on.

I thought todays production meeting went quite well. The production meetings go mostly well as everybody has something to contribute to the discussion.






Thursday
Today was the trip to Orpingtion Station. We all had to meet in college at 9.00 so that we could leave early and be at orpington station on time. We all had to make sure we had all the right equitment, such as:
Boom
Matanz
Digital Camera
SLR Camera
Extra Batteries

As a team we all helped out by carrying some of the equitment. We then took a bus to Orpington Station. When we arrived we went into the staff room and discussed which roles we were given for this job. My role was photography, where i had to take pictures of the staff at work and pictures for their profiles on the site, Mark helped me some of the pictures. I took pictures of the staff, working in the room, naturally. I also took a picture of the teacher at work. I volantered to help out with the filming with Terry, which we filmed the employees in class with their teacher at work. I enjoyed taking pictures and had fun with. The staff and employees were really funny and the trip was a good experience. I thought i took a good variety of pictures, enough to put onto the website. Overall the project went really well and i have gotten enough pictures and footage for the website.

We then went back to college and uploaded all the pictures, ready to put onto the website.

using dreamweaver

in todays lesson we started using dreamweaver which is website designing programme. We had to open a blank document. Then to change the background or text to any colour you want, you would have to click modify which is on top of the screen then go to page properties. I changed my background colour to purple and text to white. then we had to insert the table. 5rows 5 collums. Then the width 100 percent. once the table is on the document we wrote down 'table 1' Then the row we row we inserted a picture. i chose to put 'little miss giggles'. Then i wrote a bit about it. Then we learnt how to do links. which you press on the picture press link then browse and it will take you to the document you want, press ok, save the previous document and then view it in firefox.

Filming and Pictures.

In todays lesson we went to Orpington Station. To film and take pictures. When we got there we were told we couldnt take pictures or film the staff because we needed a permission slip that they had to sign. which was a bit dissapointing because that was mine and Nadias job. In the end i worked with cat. We both were filming the inside of the stimulation room. It was really enjoyable and had fun with it.



We then took some pictures of the equitment inside the stimulation room.

HTML .. Production Rolls and Editing HOW TO...

in todays lesson we watch a video based on homophobia and how people age 16-over are having difficulties telling people about their sexuality and sometimes are bullied. I thought the video was ok but the acting was terrible.







In the next lesson we spoke about HTML and tags and how we could import text and see what it would like on web interface. We then had to write down the HTML in notepad and then saved it as index.html, then we opened it firefox and it came out in writing.


e.g. I am Maria and I am FABULOUS!





I usually use HTML on Myspace, so I am fimilar with it. So it came quite easily to me.





WEDNESDAY 14TH





In todays lesson we had a production meeting which was not very successful. We were allocated our roles for the production. Nadia and I are going to do, Photography and film. We discussed that before so our roles were already set for the product. I wanted to do Photography and film because I enjoy it.





THURSDAY 15TH





In todays lesson we had to finish off editing off our 2min HOW TO film. I didnt need alot of editing on mine but i needed a title and credits. i put as my title, 'How to...Make a pumpkin' in orange writing to give out the haloween effect. Then i did the credits, 'Production by Maria and Camera by Terry', after I had finished editing I burnt the tape to the CD. After looking back at my work, I thought i did really well but the lighting could of been more better.

Tuesday 6th...





In todays lesson we were told to Find 3 websites for each Good, Bad and ugly. We were then told to Put down there URL and print screen them. Once we had finished print screening we had to answer questions from each Good, Bad and ugly website:





· What makes these products what they are – what is it that is distinctive or special about them?

The two different disciplines this website contains are …

I have chosen this website because it is a popular website known by millions of people.

I think this website is good because you can chat to friends/family through, message, get in contact with people you haven’t seen in years, play games and have a laugh.

· Why they exist – what they have to offer their audiences.

The reason this website exists is for (online chat) for people to communicate with others and it is also for advertisement.

Someone would go to this website so they can chat to friends, look at pictures, and play games, read e-mail.

The ways it is different from other websites are that it is one of the most used websites, it’s fun and exciting.

I would use this website because you can chat to friends and family in different countries, play games, find friends, look and add pictures, it’s quite addictive.

I wouldn’t use this website because some people could hack into your account and it’s not good to add or message people you don’t know.

· What sort of audiences will enjoy them.

The kind of people who would use this website are people who like computers, who are quite sociable.

I think this because they enjoy socialising and communicating

The kind of people who wouldn’t use this website are mostly OAP’s, people who don’t like computers or broadcast themselves.





I chose to answer questions about Facebook, Myspace and Bebo which are all in the Good catogary. Once i had finished answering the questions i printed the work out.





I found it quite difficult trying to find a ugly/bad website because im mostly on facebook or youtube which are all good websites that i use regulary. I came across a really dull, boring website that gave showed no sign of advertisments, it was pointless it was called 'uglyduckling.us'.








Wednesday 7th...





In todays lesson I had to finish off some of the questions fo the Good,Bad and ugly work. Once i had finished i printed it.





Thurday 8th...





In todays lesson Tim McCarthy(our client) came in so that we(the class) could ask him a few questions about the website. I was confused about what PTS stood for and he told us it stood for Personal Track saftey. We asked him if he wanted animation, like a talking train and he said yes that would be ok. We asked about the colour themes and he told us to keep the colours mainly baby blue, navy or lilaque. I was annoyed that he did not contribute to the class, we had to say something for him to say something which annoyed me because i found that he wasnt helping us or giving us any ideas or views that he wanted. We thought that it would be good to jazz it up a bit but he said that he wanted to keep it professional. I thought that the website looked dull, boring and that the whole set out was just too squashed together. The writing was too small and it needed to be more bold.
